Mike Downs

Mike was an average, ordinary, everyday geek until one day while wondering through the Nevada desert he took a wrong turn. He stumbled upon what appeared to be a ghost town, buildings set up with mannequins everywhere. Unsure where he was he wandered on when suddenly in the west a huge explosion erupted. A mushroom cloud filled the air and a heat as hot as the sun itself smacked into him.

Days later he woke up, clothes burnt and tattered with a coppery taste in his mouth.

Staggering and half dead he wandered for hours nay days until a band of traveling circus folk found him. Renee the bearded lady nursed him back to health slowly, over days and weeks until finally he could care for himself. As he slowly began to walk and move of his own will he noticed strange things about himself. At night he had the most vivid dreams, almost as if little worlds played out in his imagination, he was told by his keepers that shouts and screams often were heard at night coming from his quarters.

He also noticed his urine had turned neon green and burned violently when he relieved himself.

The circus folks gave him a name, a name he has worn proudly ever since … Atomic Geek.

Forged from the stuff of legend in the fires of Mount Olympus by Hephaestus himself. Half man, half sasquatch, he uses his robotic arms to wage war against super secret alien invaders. All the while contending with his burgeoning psionic powers.

He lives in the suburbs with his lovely wife and their two hairy robot kids. Former long winded contributor to the website BoldOpinion.com. He now sits in his basement, drinks beer and talks to his old college buddies about all sorts of stuff over the internet. Apparently they call it podcasting
